Jess is a highly skilled vestibular audiologist and the founder of Ears in Balance. Driven by her passion for vestibular diagnostics, she established Ears in Balance in 2015. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care, Jess has built a service that not only delivers high-quality care but also empowers patients to better understand and manage their symptoms of dizziness and vertigo.
Emina is an experienced vestibular audiologist who joined Ears in Balance in 2022. She started her audiology career in diagnostics and rehabilitation of hearing loss in adults and children, and now specialises in the assessment and management of dizziness and balance disorders. She is passionate about ensuring her patients have a clear understanding of their condition and are central to any decision making.
Kathryn is an audiologist with over 20 years of experience and joined Ears In Balance in
2024. She has worked across a wide range of audiology settings and now specialises in the
assessment and management of dizziness and balance disorders. Kathryn enjoys helping
people make sense of their hearing and balance, and is passionate about
educating and supporting patients during their diagnostic and treatment journey.
Aleksandra is a dedicated audiologist with years of experience working in diagnostics and hearing rehabilitation. She has recently transitioned into vestibular audiology, bringing a holistic understanding of the auditory and balance systems. Aleksandra is committed to providing a supportive environment where patients feel heard and reassured while navigating the complexities of dizziness and balance disorders.
Meriana is a dedicated clinician who has spent her entire Audiology career focused on developing expertise in vestibular diagnostics. Trained at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, she brings years of experience performing comprehensive audiovestibular assessments to Ears in Balance in 2026. Meriana understands the significant impact that dizziness and balance disorders can have on your quality of life, therefore she finds it extremely rewarding to help people on their diagnostic journey.
Medical Oversight
Dr. Luke Chen is a neurologist and neuro-otologist. His clinical and research interests include hearing and balance disorders, vestibular physiology and eye movement disorders in neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis and movement disorders. He undertook a Fellowship in neuro-otology with Professor Michael Halmagyi and his group from 2010 to 2014 in Sydney at Institute of Clinical Neurosciences, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital/ University of Sydney. His PhD thesis examined quantitative head impulse test, electrical vestibular stimulation and vestibular evoked myogenic potentials in central vestibular disorders.
Practice Manager
Kay is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with 15 years experience leading three local government organisations, (Maribyrnong, Greater Geelong and Port Phillip). She has successfully established her own business providing leadership training and executive coaching to CEOs and senior leaders. We are very lucky to have her as the Practice manager at Ears in Balance.
