Referral for neuro-otology assessment may be appropriate for people with complex or persistent dizziness, vertigo or imbalance where specialist medical diagnosis, investigation or management is required.

Dr Luke Chen is a neurologist and neuro-otologist with expertise in dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders. His clinical interests include BPPV, vestibular neuritis, Ménière’s disease, vestibular migraine, vestibular schwannoma, superior semicircular canal dehiscence, bilateral vestibulopathy and central vestibular disorders.
At Ears in Balance, Dr Chen provides medical oversight and does not consult directly with patients at Ears in Balance.
